Game of Thrones Studio Tour gives visitors the opportunity to explore how one of the world’s greatest-ever TV series was created and brought to life on screen. It is a licensed destination featuring authentic sets & costumes. It offers an immersive interactive experience and an understanding of the quality of production required to deliver one of the most successful tv series of all time.

Part Three Digital work as an extension of the Game of Thrones Studio Tour marketing team to drive awareness of the world class destination experience based in Banbridge, Northern Ireland and online bookings globally. As their digital marketing partner, we develop & deliver a multi-channel digital advertising strategy, across Meta, Pinterest, TikTok and Google. Campaigns are tailored for each key target audience’s customer journey, their location and motivations.

OUR APPROACH

Building awareness of the unique tourism destination and online ticket sales year-on-year.

We took time to understand the current and projected trends and challenges for the tourism sector on the island-of-Ireland, analysing website performance and ticket sales data since the experience opened in February 2022. There’s appetite for Game of Thrones tourism, but it’s competitive, with multiple tours and attractions available, and filming locations, not only on the island-of-Ireland, but across Europe.

We developed four key audiences, each with their own digital advertising customer-journey map and creative campaign assets across design, photography, native and professional video content, leveraging a combination of Meta, Pinterest, TikTok and Google ad campaigns to nurture and convert target audiences.

Social media advertising has been the largest driver of website traffic during the period. Although Meta ads are converting ticket sales, in-line with the customer journey, Google ad campaigns are performing as the leading conversion channel with an impressive above average benchmark ROAS.

As well as delivering growth year-on-year to date across bookings and engaged website traffic, driving brand awareness online monitored via impressions, reach, engagements and community growth. The destination was shortlisted as a nominee at the World Travel Awards, as Europe's Leading Tourist Attraction.
