Xtratherm, more than insulation.

We With COVID-19 affecting all businesses and how they communicate with one another, Xtratherm, like many B2B companies, had to pivot from relying on traditional marketing methods to elevating their digital marketing strategy. They partnered with us to support and guide them on this journey, with a focus on the competitive UK market. With many competitors already ramping up digital activity alongside traditional methods, it was key for us to work with Xtratherm to cement themselves as a market leader in insulation with innovative products and a helpful technical team.

The project centred around an always-on approach with targeted advertising, messaging and creative – to the right audience at the right time, in the right place. A deep understanding of these niche audience groups for the company was pivotal, including architects and specifiers, self-builders, builders and builders’ merchants. Reactive campaigns were also required throughout the year to pivot towards trending topics, when research and development highlighted opportunity and when key added value products required promotion.

Success meant seeing a significant uplift in qualified leads via online forms and phone calls. This relied on us increasing brand awareness amongst key target audiences, educating them on product and technical team benefits and then giving them enough reason to choose Xtratherm over other brands.

We developed online target audiences on various channels based on our own online research, Xtratherm’s experience with their customer groups, as well as having conversations with young professional architects. With such a varied group of target audiences to reach at different parts of their journey, it was essential to take an omni-channel approach, creating multiple brand touch-points throughout their customer journey to encourage them to get in touch with Xtratherm. Channels selected included: Google Advertising, LinkedIn, Facebook and Search Engine Optimisation.

The retained campaigns were a success against KPIs and was shortlisted as a finalist for Best B2B Campaign at The Spider Awards 2021.
